Let the Learning Begin!
I can not tell you how privileged I feel to be teaching 6th grade at Brown Intermediate School! I want to use this website for the purposes of opening communication up between the students, parents, and myself. Further, I hope that through our classroom site students will continue to grow and improve as lifelong learners. It is about so much more than memorizing a given set of problems for a test or quiz. It’s about enjoying what life is offering us and growing each and everyday!

______Teaching Philosophy
Through my experiences, equity has become one of the core values that I hope to achieve and pursue through teaching. I believe in giving a chance to all students and giving each the equal opportunity to achieve. Each student deserves equal opportunities no matter how diverse they may be. Furthermore, I believe that students must want to achieve. The only way that this may be possible is through understanding the students. I hope the students feel respected and valued, and I hope they reciprocate this to others. I believe that the teacher should not only respect what the students know in the classroom but also who they are in the home. I must ensure the students believe in themselves’ and who they are. Without belief that any part of what I teach is going to help them they will lack the motivation to succeed. I believe no matter what tools I equip them with they must have a foundation which will stay strong in the community and their environment and not just at school.
